Spending the Day with my Baby

Today has been our first full day of spending the day at the Northport Hospital.  Will is doing great and amazing me with his feeding abilities.  He's been strictly on tube feeding and then bottle feeding...now he's graduated to the real deal!  He did awesome during our first feeding together, and ate almost a full two ounces.  I'm rotating time between going to the NICU to feed, and sitting in the lobby to rest.  The blessing is that I am able to have help from the lactation specialists and the great staff in the NICU.  I'm starting antibiotics today to prevent the beginnings of signs of mastitis, so we pray that I can stay away from any infection.  It would be pretty hard to get through this week with a high fever and flu-like symptoms.  Thankfully we caught it pretty early this morning.  God continues to watch out for us.

"The Lord will keep you from all harm--he will watch over your life".  Psm. 121: 7

Dear, Sweet Ellen,

It was so nice to hear your voice today, but I could sure hear the emotional exhaustion and overload through the phone line! I cannot imagine what the past few days have been like, but I am so amazed and grateful that God speaks to us like He does, and I am glad that I could pray for you when you needed it.

Will is beautiful and he looks just great! I am sure God has a special purpose for that little boy and He's given him wonderful parents to guide him.

I will continue to pray for physical and emotional strength for all of you as you mak eyour adjustment to parenthood!

Lots of love!

Leanne
